"Simultaneously, the mhalai are released into the night sky, their yellow luminance blanketing the onlookers and streaking the murky water in vibrant pools of light. As they continue to rise up into the air, the spectacle looking not unlike giant fireflies marching amid the clouds, drifting further upwards.
