Esida, playing a Utan, a Thycenian instrument. The instrument is played with special tips on the fingers, the closest analog to it I suppose would be a dulcimer.
Beside her is her Thyacosma cub. The Thyacosma are loyal and protective companion animals to Thycenians. They get fairly large, around 10 feet from the tip of their nose to the ends of their tails. Like many of the other species that evolved on Tarros, they have pouches and transverse stripes down their backs., many however can also have spots. They also have Rhinoceros-like horns on their heads. This one is a cub, so the horns aren't so big yet.
